When it comes to inspiring your people to move in the same direction, it can sometimes feel like you're herding cats. That's where it helps to have some team building activities that actually help.

Often people turn to various activities for team building that only serve to further alienate the staff from each other as well as management. That's where Escape Games can help. In fact, some of our players tell us we have the best team building activities in the Inland Empire.

What's and Escape Game?

The idea is simple. You and your group will be escorted to a room(s) with a specific theme. The game master will explain the rules and instructions you need, but the rest is up to you. You'll have exactly 60 minutes to solve the puzzles and find all the clues you need to escape the room. Think you're up to the challenge?

So how hard are our escape games? That's entirely up to you and your group. If you're going it lone wolf, expect to fail, but if your effectively work with your group, you've got a great shot.

We definitely know that splitting up the accounting department and sales department into two teams and letting them go into a bubble balls and bash each other around a soccer field would be fun to watch, but it be effective to bring the two teams together? Probably not.

Laser tag is incredible fun (for some people), but this more along the lines of team bonding not team building. The problem is that there are tons of ideas about how to bond together. Escape rooms offer both Team Building and Team Bonding.

When your team goes into an escape room, they have to work together on little tasks in order to move along to the story line along toward the big-goal- escaping the room. During the hour, everyone can contribute, and the highs and lows of the experience brings people together.

When it comes to getting people together, there are studies out there that indicate that the most important factors in team building activities are time and the stress/ success of a shared experience. Our escape games give you these things in a safe, fun environment. No one gets hurt. No broken bones. It's all of the challenges without any of the risk management headaches.

We don't like to brag, but if you think about it. What skills are essential to be successful at work? To save time, here's a quick list.

  • Communication
  • Team Work
  • Situational Awareness
  • Problem Solving
  • Deductive Reasoning
  • Observational Skills
  • Did We Mention Communication?
  • Leadership
  • The Ability To Follow

This is also the same skills that are needed to be successful at escape rooms as well. See the connection? It's no secret why escape rooms are popping up everywhere.

Believe it or not, there are escape rooms in the Inland Empire that will tell you the theme, whats needed to win and toss a bunch on puzzles not related to the story at you. You're still on the clock, but we believe that your expeirence, the puzzles and clues should all be designed with the theme of the room. Our goal is to immerse you into the experience. It's part of the fun as well as the adventure.

Also, there are escape rooms in the Inland Empire where, if you get stuck, you stay stuck. All of our escape rooms are monitored by a game master. We believe that each escape room deserves a deticated game master to ensure your team is both safe and engaged during the your time here.  If your team decides they need a clue, we'll give you up to Three to help move your group along. This is called a facilitated escape game.

If you're the leader of the team, you have the ability to either play the escape game along with your team or you can watch on a closed circuit TV while your team goes into action. It's your team, your call.

We see it all the time, once a teams get into the escape room and get started, the group dynamics unfold. For us, it's fun to watch who takes on a leadership role, who becomes passive. Who steps up in the cluth? Who fades into the woodwork? It isn't always who you think.

Escape games offer a safe way to help your team look at patterns that might just be getting a way of taking their performance to the next level. Escape rooms are some of the best team building activities in the Inland Empire for corporate teams, sports teams, church groups, scout troops and more.
